Keep the heavy ball centred over the X. The plate tilts up to ±45° — and the ball is
bedded into a high-friction surface, so small tilts do nothing at all. Commit to a real tilt and it
breaks free and creeps steadily, speed proportional to tilt: it never rushes, but it never
stops on its own either. The plate is slightly domed, so off centre it slowly wanders outward.
In the outer region the dome takes over and feeds the ball toward the rim. Gusting wind shoves
the ball off station — a strong gust demands a committed counter-tilt. A deep pit rings the rim:
once the ball drops in, it takes roughly double the tilt to drive it back out. Smoothness counts:
jerky over-controlling is scored down, exactly like the real assessment.
